Holiday Recipe #5: Pineapple Cheese Ball


Cheese balls sometimes get a bad rap, but this cheese ball is deserving of all the love and respect in the world. Creamy, savory, sweet, crunchy...it's delicious! This was a common party food at my family's southern holiday parties. Always a hit! Enjoy.


Ingredients:


2 (8 oz) pkgs. cream cheese

8.5 oz. crushed pineapple (well drained)

1/4 c. chopped green pepper

2 c. chopped pecans

2 T. chopped onion

1 T. seasoned salt


How To:


Let cheese soften and mix all ingredients using 1 cup of pecans in mixture. Shape into 1 or 2 balls. Coat ball(s) in remaining pecans and chill before serving.
